Prayer and Praise *Please continue to pray for Jean Wensink and her family during this difficult time. *Arlene Back was hospitalized for treatment of her carotid arteries on Friday *Please continue to pray for Dan Ongna who is recovering from severe back and neck injuries. Dan has now returned home and is doing well. *Remember to pray for Terry Mentink and Elizabeth Weavers.
Daily Scripture Readings: We encourage you to take a few moments each day to read and meditate on these passages. Read them together with your family. Monday Matthew 15:21-28 Thursday Psalm 133 Tuesday Genesis 45:1-8 Friday Romans 11:1-2a Wednesday Genesis 45:9-15 Saturday Romans 11:29-32 The children who are attending Readers for the Son this summer, will be singing next Sunday morning, August 17th. Parents, your child may sit with you and come up when it is time to sing.
All parents, grandparents, and any others involved in Readers for the Son are invited to come to our last session on Aug. 19th. Come see what weve been doing.

Evergreens: The August meeting is scheduled for August 27th. A light lunch will be served. Following lunch Joan Heinen will give a presentation on "Caregivers". She will also have some of her paintings there for us. Sign up sheets are on the information stands in both entries (sign up by August 23rd). The sign up sheet for the December 11th bus trip to "Broadway in the Dells" is in the south entry. All seniors are welcome to go. Something to think about All-church (adult) Colorado Retreat, summer 2009. Informational meeting coming in September. The purpose of this meeting is to see if we have interest for an adult retreat. Your input and ideas may be given to Jerry & Jane De Blaey, Jim & Barb Cook, Scott & Bonnie Ongna, Larry & Lynn Reimes, Ken & Lynne Te Beest or Rick & Jane Ten Dolle.

St. Paul Lutheran Preschool located at 730 County Rd PPP in Sheboygan Falls is enrolling children for the 2008-2009 school year. There will be an open house on Thursday, August 21st from 6-7:30. At this time, openings are available in the afternoon 3 year-old preschool class which meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30-2:30 pm and both 4K sessions which meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30-11:30 am or 12:15-3:15 pm.
